Data Requests

Updated May 10th, 2026

This page explains how to request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion of personal data processed by SpyVault. Requests should be submitted through our contact form.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, or objection relating to your personal data.

How to ask

We handle requests through the SpyVault contact form so they can be reviewed, verified, and routed consistently.

What to include

Include the email address tied to the account, the type of request, and enough detail for us to identify the relevant account or workspace.

1. Overview

SpyVault offers a contact-based process for end users who want to make data-related requests. This includes requests to access, correct, export, restrict, object to certain processing, or delete personal data, subject to applicable law and operational limits.

If you want to say “delete my data,” use the contact form and clearly state that you are making a data deletion request.

2. Types of requests

Depending on your location and relationship to the Service, you may request:

  • Access to personal data we hold about you
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Deletion of personal data, where deletion is legally available
  • Export or portability of certain personal data
  • Restriction or objection to certain processing activities
  • Withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent

3. How to submit a request

Submit your request through the contact form. In your message, include:

  • the email address associated with your account, if any
  • the kind of request you are making
  • the product area, workspace, or account context involved
  • enough detail for us to understand what data you are asking about

If you are making a deletion request, a clear phrase like “Please delete my data” is enough, as long as the request includes the account or contact details needed to identify you.

4. Identity verification

Before fulfilling certain requests, we may need to verify identity or confirm authority to act on behalf of the relevant person or organization. This helps prevent unauthorized deletion, disclosure, or modification of personal data.

5. Timing and response

We aim to review requests within a reasonable time and respond in line with applicable legal requirements. Response times can vary depending on the nature of the request, the sensitivity of the data, and whether additional verification is needed.

6. Limits and exceptions

Some data may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, contractual, or operational reasons. In some cases, we may be unable to fully delete or disclose data if an exception applies under law.

  • We may retain records needed for security, fraud prevention, or compliance.
  • We may preserve data required to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or meet legal duties.
  • If we cannot fully comply with a request, we will generally explain the reason to the extent permitted by law.

7. GDPR and similar rights regimes

If you are in a jurisdiction such as the EEA, UK, or another region with comparable rights, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, and complaint. If you are in a U.S. state with consumer privacy rights, you may also have rights to know, delete, or correct certain personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

The contact form is the standard intake point for these requests so they can be handled in a consistent and reviewable way.

8. Contact path for requests

To make a data request, go to the contact page and include one of the following phrases in your message:

  • “I am requesting access to my data.”
  • “I am requesting correction of my data.”
  • “I am requesting export of my data.”
  • “I am requesting deletion of my data.”
